I like even numbers more than I like odd ones and I really like single digit days or days that end in 0 – the higher, the better. 20 is good, 30 is better. Does that make me sound crazy? Or do you get what I’m saying?
I always say that day two of being back at work is harder then day one. On the first day, everyone says, “oh, you’re just back! I won’t add another thing to your plate!” By the second day, everyone acts like they’ve been waiting for an eternity and wondering what’s the hold up.
That wasn’t entirely true for me today, but it kind of was. I feel like a pinball bouncing in and out of conversations I don’t have the full background on and I’ve even felt a little like I don’t always remember how to even do my job. That’s annoying because I just don’t have the patience for that.
Tonight I pulled out all of our Christmas boxes and I’ll spend the next few days going through them. I’ll save a lot of the fun of actually decorating until the weekend, but it was exciting to get a peek at it. And that’s what I’m looking forward to right now.
